AWS Wavelength Now PCI & DSS Compliant

Applications deployed to AWS that are PCI (Payment Card Industry) & DSS (Data Security Standard) eligible now have the ability to store, process, and transmit cardholder data (CDH) or sensitive authentication data (SAD).

AWS Wavelength is a service that brings the advancements and bandwidth that aid in bringing the power of 5G to smart cities, autonomous automobiles, and immersive gaming experiences (for example, if you are creating VR and AR experience, AWS Wavelength helps reduce the Motion to Photon (MTP) latencies to <20 ms benchmark needed to offer realistic immersive experiences).

AWS Wavelength brings AWS services to the 5g network and effectively reduces the extra network costs in AWS regions that previously would result in latency issues of tens of milliseconds or more. These Wavelength Zones enable use of the AWS services and infrastructure, apis, and toolsets you are already familiar with in the cloud. Your applications will now have faster and more secure access to these AWS services in the parent region. Get started by specifying the desired Wavelength Zone in your VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) on AWS and launch AWS resources within that Wavelength Zone to benefit your applications that require ultra low latency.
